FROM THE FLOOR UP
I've worked on both sides
of the handover.
I’m a trade-qualified boilermaker and fabricator with approximately 18 years across manufacturing, maintenance, production and operations in South Africa and Australia.
I started with fabrication, welding, plant repair and fault-finding. That work taught me to check the real conditions: the worn bearing, the pipe alignment, the drawing revision and the access nobody considered.
Production and maintenance leadership widened the picture. A local fix still has to respect the labour, material, quality, schedule and customer commitment around it. Someone needs to own the next action.
That is the thread running through my digital work. A schedule must understand the shift. A handover must carry the revision. A dashboard must tell someone what to do. AI must work from controlled evidence and leave the decision with an accountable person.

Sometimes the answer is a clearer process. Sometimes it is a spreadsheet, script, Microsoft workflow or small web application.
I use AI to help analyse and construct systems, with bounded tasks, test evidence and clear release decisions. I keep the same discipline I would expect of physical work: measure, check and verify.
